What?  Workshop: Understanding human creativity in music

When? Wednesday October 21st, 2015

Where? Lisbon, Portugal

Abstract of the session:

The creation of music is an essential creative human activity and it can be seen as the most paradigmatic of the creative arts. Music engages a wide spectrum of practitioners, from the virtuoso performer, the professional composer or music producer, to the skilled amateur, the dilettante and the learning child. We believe, that already in the nearest future music creation – as well as experiencing of music will become an active act, at the same time as music production is moving progressively out of the studio and into everyday life. Today’s producers of music are already at the brink of being able to explore their ideas, wherever and whenever they are struck by creativity.

5 European projects, complementing each other, are getting together to share thoughts, ideas, and findings – for better understanding of creativity, for making better tools, technologies and experiences.
